Happy Friday!

Funny thing this week that I forgot to share... some guy asked me if I was having twins!!! Um, no. Just one in here! He is a guy so I'm not letting it bug me too much, they don't know anything.... but really don't ever ask anyone that!

Also we had a friends sister take some pics last weekend so we could capture the baby belly and us as a growing family in all our glory... here is a sneak peak we got, we wont get anything else until another couple weeks or so.. cant wait! You be the judge, do I look like I'm having twins!? ha!
Never mind, don't answer that.

Get it done before the baby is born otheriwse it wont happen...

Has anyone ever told you that, well we listened.
In August we had the front yard landscaped and we had someone come in and professionally finish our pathway. The one we attempted ourselves a while back (see earlier post).
In November we had the outside of the house painted, we hadn't touched it since we moved in over 6 years ago.
Then just last month we had our house painted inside. We needed the nursery painted and the walls in the rest of the house had been the same color since we moved in, so we updated everything. I chose gray colors, as I am sort of obsessed with gray right now.
We are now doing our master bathroom. Which needed to be done BAD! The sinks were rusting, it was just all around old, rusty and dated! So that is going on now and I'm excited for them to be done. It will just be nice to have our house back to normal. I have been having fun picking out all the elements for the bathroom. The sinks, toilet, tile, counter tops, vanity, hardware, etc... Then there is the paint....
So I have decided that I am extremely indecisive while pregnant! Its very frustrating.
First to start, I thought I knew what I wanted for the exterior of the house, I wanted a warm toned; medium/darker gray house, with a warm white trim and black shutters and front door. Well I chose the wrong gray, our house was once again a blue gray color just darker (but not much)... not what I wanted and it looked horrible. Well that was an expensive mistake, as we had to pay for them to re-do it with another color. Of course not the whole price, but still it didn't go over real well. oops.
So needless to say, I didn't want to make the same mistake in the interior of the house. I am actually really happy with all the colors, well, except the family room. I was originally happy with it and don't hate it, but we got new carpet in there since we painted and I'm just not sure if it goes with the new carpet.
I think its safe to say I get too wrapped up in the decorating of the house. It is one if my true passions, but I'm not very good at it while pregnant. The latest great example is our bathroom we are remodeling... I couldn't decide should I go dark or light on the wall color??? Gray that is ;) So I decided to go light, I felt like it was safer ~ well i didn't really question it but then Reilly mentioned how it is basically white, (which it is) and it may just look really sterile in there. So now of course I am completely questioning the color choice, but it is way to late to change my mind. So I am going to see how it ends up after its all done, and if I really feel like it needs to be changed, then I will paint it myself. But I wanted a fresh, clean feel, being the bathroom and all. Ill let you know how it turns out.

Oh and in the family room we are having wainscoting put up in there, which I think is going to look amazing and I'm so excited for that to be done as well! Ill post pics soon.

Enough boring info on all we are doing to the house. Regardless, super excited to be making all the updates! The house will be next to finished by the time baby arrives :)

...unless I decide to change any paint colors that is ;)

and going on about a year later....

Hello Strangers! Wow, I really suck at this blog thing ;) Anyway - I am not going to try to recap the past 10 months or so, but I will say that the big news in our life... which you all probably already know. We are pregnant!! Wahoo! We couldn't be more excited! I am 34 weeks - so we are already in the home stretch! The entire pregnancy has been wonderful! I truly enjoy being preggers! I am beginning to get a bit uncomfortable and its harder to move around but still loving it all! We are having a GIRL! We havent decided on a name, but do have it narrowed down to a couple, we probably wont share the final decision until she is born! ;) The due date is March 20th 2012. I just am so anxious to meet her! But in all honesty I feel like I can wait, not quite ready! Almost, but looking forward to having the next few (6 or so) weeks to continue getting ready! :)

I do have lots to share, but will hopefully write a post a few times a week and can get you all updated on our lives and what we are doing and of course the progress of the pregnancy!

March to April

Ill say it again, I'm not good at keeping you all updated on our life! Well, here is a recap of the last month...

We went to Cabo, MX mid March, we had some good friends get married! It was a blast! Beautiful couple, beautiful wedding, beautiful weather! I miss the warmth and the sun. I overheard the headcount for the wedding was 120 people, which is a great turn out for a destination wedding! We were able to spend time with some good old friends who we don't see often enough as well as meet some new friends! We had such a good time with everyone.

Reilly has been Steelhead fishing this month on the weekends. I spent the first weekend in April down at the Oregon Coast to visit Nan and Papa. It ended up being just me, mom and sis were supposed to come but things came up so it was just me, it was good to spend quality time with them.

This last weekend I came home from work a little early on Friday, started feeling sick/queasy. I was able to suck it up to go through with our planned date night, but was not feeling so great. Once I got home, I went down hill from there, nasty nasty flu bug. Felt queasy and tired all day saturday. I got a text from Reilly after he got off the river, well apparently I passed it to him :( He spent the rest of the night and all day Sunday in the hotel room waiting to get home. He is still sick and definitely way worse than I was. He talked to the dr. today - they just said to 'rest, lots of fluid, you should be better by friday'... By Friday!!!?? Oh boy - this will be a long week, hopefully he is better before than!

And... its March already!

Wow - this year is flying by! Seems like we are always doing something; which I guess that's probably why it seems to be going by so fast! We went to Scottsdale to visit Reillys parents over presidents day weekend. We were looking forward to some sun, but when we got there, it was raining and gray. It was fine though, we were there to visit with the family and that's what we did! Quinn was also there; always good to see everyone!

We are headed to Cabo San Lucas in 10 days! Wahoo! Our friends Aly & Nick are getting married on Medano Beach on the 17th on , so we are headed down the 13th for a nice get away, and we should expect some sun and warmth! It will be a great getaway with good friends!

Other than, I don't think that much else is new. Oh, we finally got the mirrors hung in the kitchen that we have been putting off since the kitchen was done. Ill have to post some more recent pics soon.

and once again... long time no post!

Hi! So it is clear that I am not very good at keeping up this blog! I am not even going to try to fill you on details of whats been going on Since last post, in July! I will say the end of 2010 went VERY fast, it was a good year... We went to Hawaii over thanksgiving for two weeks. It was a wonderful, relaxing two weeks with the Devines! We spent Christmas in Montana - it was short but sweet. Always good to see everyone there. And here we are almost February! Happy 2011!

We have been busy remodeling the kitchen ~ it of course took longer than we had expected but completely worth it, I am in LOVE with it! Ill post pics soon

That is all I have for you now. I will really try to be better about updating you all on our lives :) xoxo

Long time, No post!

Hi all!! Its been a while! Life got busy and I never took the time to update you on what we were doing, so Ill try to recap what we have been up to over the last 2+ months; lots has been going on...

Reilly was laid off in the middle of May, the company laid off a large group of people and he was one of them. It was a shock at first and a little concern once reality set in. We both have been so lucky to have had good steady jobs through these times and all the sudden wham, one of us looses our jobs, just like so many other people. I guess we are human too! I do have to say after being concerned and shocked at the fact that we have one income for some time, I really had no concern. Reilly is maybe the most well networked hard working person I know. As soon as he was laid off he was setting up meetings and getting phone calls from people who wanted him to come work for them!! This was all great news and relieving to know he wont be with out a job for long.

Reilly had a trip to the Bahama's planned with his dad and uncle and a few more guys. He was scheduled to leave the friday of the week he was laid off, so we agreed he might as well, enjoy a couple days off and go and enjoy the amazing vacation he planned in the Bahama's. It was a big fishing trip for him and the boys! (which is why I didn't go). They had an amazing time - I will post some picks soon.

Once Reilly got back from the Bahamas it was back to finding a job. He took his time to assure he found the right job and company for him. Well he found it, the company is located in Palo Alto, CA. (outside of San Francisco) The company is called EchoSign. He had actually talked to them a about a year or so ago when he was looking at other opportunities. At that time they wanted him to move down there and the timing just wasn't right for us. Well this time, he is able to work from Seattle! So after thinking it through he took the job with EchoSign!!
We spent 4th of July weekend converting one of our extra bedrooms into an office, so he would have a dedicated space for him to focus and work all day! He is doing great and is loving it!!!
